Poisonous foods and items to avoid

• Be sure to remove any poisonous plants from your home and backyard. Full lists of plants are on the petmd.com website.


• Monitor your pup in your home well. Exposed electrical cords are a chewing temptation!


• Dangerous (some are fatal if a lot is consumed*) for Dogs:

• Xylitol* – an artificial sweetener and it’s deadly!

• Grapes and raisins*

• Onions*

• Garlic*

• Chocolate*

• Avocado*

• Alcohol*

• Coffee, Tea and other caffeine

• Macadamia nuts*

• Candy and gum

• Persimmons, Peaches and Plums

• Salt

• Sugary foods and drinks

• Yeast dough

• Raw potatoes

• Seeds from fruit
